Dear Friends and Supporters,
As the president of Somebody Cares Saint Augustine, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your support and dedication to our mission. Together, we are making a significant impact on our community, and your contributions have been invaluable.
In the past year, we have achieved remarkable milestones, from our partnership with St. John’s County School District ASSIST program and helping our youth in need to collaborating with our local Churches within our County to help provide Care Project solutions to families who may lack the resources. These successes are a testament to what we can accomplish when we come together with a shared vision.
As we look ahead, we remain committed to supporting our community and being a beacon of light in a world sometimes filled with darkness. As Jesus came not to be served but to serve, we will do the same. Your support allows us to expand our reach and deepen our impact, and for that, we are truly thankful.
I invite you to stay connected with us through our website, our newsletter and social media channels, where you can find updates on our work and ways to get involved. Together, we can continue to create positive changes and uplift those we serve.
Thank you for being an essential part of our journey.
In 2023 SCSA worked with Veritas Classical School to help provide an opportunity for the students and their parents to show the love of Christ and be a blessing to their community. Last year they painted the house of a retired school teacher in Lincolnville. This community service effort with Veritas is now an annual event.
For over a decade Somebody Cares St. Augustine united churches, businesses, and organizations for a Christ-centered day of community service, called CareFest. During CareFest’s season 8,200 volunteers, from 36 different churches and organizations donated 41,500 community service hours, to complete 963 projects. We will be forever grateful to those churches and volunteers who faithfully came each year to “Shine the Light”..
Although the season for CareFest has ended we continue to partner with area churches to do Care Projects. If you know of a project need within your congregation, please click on “Submit a Project” and submit your request.
