Care Projects
Somebody Cares for Kids
Through our partnership with CarePortal we met the following needs of families with children in our community:
Recipient | Submitted by | Needs | Church Partner | Month | |
3 families we didn’t have appropriate shoe sizes | Shoes of Hope | CarePortal | Shoes needed for children | Alpha-Omega | August |
Family in need of school clothes for children | St. Johns County Family Integrity Program | CarePortal | Clothing needed for children | Bridge to Life Church | August |
SCSA also supported our partnership with the Evelyn Hamblen Center (EHC). During August we funded and supported a Welcome Back Breakfast for the EHC staff. (attached pictures BREAKFAST)
Additionally, SCSA funded the EHC Staff Store. The following is a special note from the EHC staff to SCSA (Also attach picture STAFF STORE)
“A huge thank you to Somebody Cares St. Augustine for generously funding our Staff Store and helping us create another way to recognize and celebrate our amazing staff. Thank you SCSA for investing in our staff and supporting both Gaines & EHC. We are so grateful for your continued support.”
- Care Projects for the elderly and needy:
SCSA helped an elderly lady whose stove stopped working. We found a used stove and replaced it for her.
