December is Coats for Kids month. This year 16 churches and organizations in St. Johns County came together to donate 640 coats, along with bins full of underwear, socks, and hoodies.

Volunteers from Christ the King Anglican Church and St. Johns Cares worked with us on December 4^th and 5^th to receive, sort, hang and label each coat. We especially want to thank both groups who worked so hard to get everything ready for the School Districts distribution of the coats. We started on Wednesday with one empty locker and finished Thursday with two very full lockers and 5 racks of coats. “By the blessing of the upright a city is exalted”. Proverbs 11:11

On December 6^th the School District began distribution of the coats and many were gone by noon. What remains after the 6^th will go directly to specified schools for distribution throughout the winter.
