Coats for Kids 2019

December is Coats for Kids month. This year 16 churches and organizations in St. Johns County came together to donate 640 coats, along with bins full of underwear, socks, and hoodies.

Volunteers from Christ the King Anglican Church and St. Johns Cares worked with us on December 4th and 5th to receive, sort, hang and label each coat. We especially want to thank both groups who worked so hard to get everything ready for the School Districts distribution of the coats. We started on Wednesday with one empty locker and finished Thursday with two very full lockers and 5 racks of coats. “By the blessing of the upright a city is exalted”. Proverbs 11:11

On December 6th the School District began distribution of the coats and many were gone by noon. What remains after the 6th will go directly to specified schools for distribution throughout the winter.

We want to thank all those who donated Coats and winter clothing items this year. Thanks to you our students in need will be warm this winter.
